As summer temperatures rise across the UAE, Noor Al Sahara General Contracting Sole Proprietorship has reaffirmed its commitment to worker safety and well-being through the launch of a proactive “Beat the Heat” campaign at the ALDAR Madinat Zayed Project site.
Aligned with the UAE government’s national hydration campaign, our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team has implemented a series of measures aimed at protecting our workforce during the most challenging season of the year. These efforts reflect our belief that the safety of our people are paramount.
Key initiatives of the campaign include the installation of hydration stations across the site, distribution of Electrolyte (ORS) solutions and thermal water bottles, and the creation of shaded recovery zones equipped with cooling fans and seating. In strict compliance with national regulations, the midday work bans from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM has also been fully enforced.
To further mitigate heat-related risks, our team has adopted the Thermal Work Limit (TWL) and flag system protocols to monitor environmental conditions and adjust workloads accordingly ensuring both safety and operational continuity.
The campaign was further strengthened by the presence of senior officials from NAS management, ALDAR, and the Al Dhafra Region Municipality, who joined our “Safety in Heat” awareness sessions. Their participation underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting the highest safety standards on-site.
This initiative is more than a seasonal response—it is a testament to NAS’s enduring commitment to fostering a culture of care, accountability, and respect for those who drive our success.
Together, we are not just building infrastructure. We are building a safer, more humane future.
